Question No 26 is there another simple way of doing? Method shown is almost hard to understand for 11 plus student i think. Its like GCSE method.

Hi Sivaraman, we also tried to give as simpler as we can as per 11+,

There is one more method which involves plotting the points by rotating the line joining (1,2) and (4,7) by 90ยฐ. But that needs protractor and scale to draw and that is also GCSE syllabus… So we chose this method where you need not use the scale and protractor.

it’s crazy about 11+ competition, schools are asking these questions to little kids. My suggestion is just explain how the rotation concept works on the grid, that will be enough for 11+.

Please check Question 34 answer, you forgot to take away the crusts.

And you left hardly working out for the answer to q35 so it was so hard for us, Can you please explain it more?

In question no: 34 – it gives 22 ‘Usable’ slices, please check we also underlined that which means all 22 can be used. They already excluded the crusts as per the question. So all the 22 slices can be usable. So already given workout is correct, please explain that to your child.

Q 35 is logical. It should be done by trial and error by the student in the 11+ Exam. If we write a solution it will be difficult to explain. But I will try to add a few notes as per your suggestion. please refresh this page by tonight.

where did you get 12hrs from in question 33? please explan

In an analog clock, the time shows the same again every 12 hours… So in the clock problems with time lost or time gained due to wrong clocks..the time lost or gain should be equal to 12 hours in order to show the right time again …

‘It is a rule for wrong clocks’.
