In this paragraph, we're going to discuss a few points on "The Slough Grammar School Consortium". The Slough Grammar School Consortium currently has four grammar schools. For information on 11 Plus and admissions regarding each particular school, please visit the following pages:

The examination consists of two separate papers, each of approximately  60 – 65 minutes duration. The test papers contain various questions that evaluate Verbal, Numerical and Non Verbal ability of a child. However, for admission to any of the four grammar schools in Slough, the pupil needs to score more than minimum eligible marks. Any child reaching a score of 111 on a standardised scale (this score represents approximately the top third of the 11+ examination outcome range) is eligible.

Note: At the time of writing, the information given about the Slough Grammar School Consortium was presumed to be accurate. So, please be informed, however, of future updates. Moreover, when you are uncertain of something, we encourage you to email the schools directly. Within individual school messages, contact details are provided.

Suggestions for 11 Plus final year preparation for CEM (Slough Consortium)

  1. Our suggestion is to study time tables to increase math speed, and keep reading a lot to learn vocabulary in context. Because this will help with both learning and verbal questions (such as synonyms/antonyms, etc.).
  2. Make sure that you have worked at least once before the exam with their familiarization content. Because schools could add different types of questions that have not been posted before. That should be enough if your child has a sound understanding of KS2 maths and English. Also, this will help your child to learn quickly.
  3. Always use a variety of books to make sure the child is aware of all kinds of questions.
  4. Children should focus on timing from the very start. Because it is really time-constrained.
