The entrance tests take place in January prior to entry in September.
Entrance assessments for entry in September 2021 will be held in January 2021.
For entry to Year 7, the exam will be held on Saturday 16 January and Saturday 23 January 2021 (children need only attend on one of these dates).

Year 7 Entrance Exam:

- Creative Writing paper (45 minutes)
- Comprehension paper (20 minutes)
- Problem-solving paper (30 minutes)
- Arithmetic paper (20 minutes)

45-minute Creative Writing paper, a 20-minute Comprehension paper, a 30-minute Problem-solving paper, and a 20-minute Arithmetic paper.
To help your child prepare for the entrance assessments school will send a sample of each of the papers to all those who have applied. For those who have already applied, these papers will be sent in early November.
Although, school would prefer to see a child’s natural ability, we understand that some children may feel more comfortable if they can undertake some additional practice.
All Year 7 candidates are also invited to meet with a member of staff to discuss their hobbies, interests and school work.
