The Queens School Registration and Academic Test information
- Parents who think that they may apply to Queens’ School under the Academic criterion must register to take the entrance tests with the SW Herts Consortium. This should be done via the SW Herts
- Consortium website when the student is in Year 5. The website will be open for registration from April and the entrance tests will be held in October when the student is in Year 6. Details of the arrangements for the tests will be notified to parents who have registered nearer the time.
Queens School Bushey 11+ Exam Dates
- Sports Aptitude Test: Wednesday 13th September 2023
- Throughout the day – Times to be sent individually
- Only applicable to Queens School.
- Academic Test: Saturday 9th September 2023
- Morning session: 9.00-11.30
- Afternoon session: 12.45-3.45
- Music Aptitude Test: Monday 4th September 2023
- 4.00-5.00
- Parents/carers are still expected to meet the 31st October 2023 deadline.
Queens' School 11+ Exam Styles
- The test comprises a Mathematics and a Verbal Reasoning paper.
- The Test is administered jointly by the following schools (known as the SW Herts Consortium)
- Parmiter's, Queens', Rickmansworth, St Clement Danes, Watford Boys' Grammar and Watford Girls' Grammar.
- The Academic Test :
- Mathematics: The paper will take approximately 50 minutes to deliver.
- Papers are prepared specifically for the Consortium by GL Assessment and are based on the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Verbal Reasoning: The paper will take approximately one hour to deliver including examples for each section.
- It is prepared specifically for the Consortium by GL Assessment.

- The Music Test :
- The only equipment required will be a pencil and an eraser. The test will consist of 60 questions of four types: Pitch, Melody, Rhythm and Texture.
