Gresham's School Year 7 (11+) Exam Dates
- Assessment days for September 2024 entry will be held on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th January 2024. Application for places after this is possible depending on available space within the relevant year group.
Gresham's School Year 7 (11+) and Styles
- Entrants to the Prep School sit English and Maths assessments. These Assessment Days are held every January but it is possible to sit the assessments at other times if required. For children who live overseas assessment papers can be sent to their current schools.

Gresham's School Year 9 (13+) Exam Dates
For Year 9 entry in September 2024 the admissions process is as follows:
- Candidates must be registered with the school by Friday 10th November 2023. Registration Forms are available upon request from Admissions. A non-refundable Registration Fee of £170 is payable to register.
- On Wednesday 24 January 2024 candidates will attend an Assessment Morning. Further information is available on our Assessment page.
- Year 9 offers will be made in February 2024. To confirm acceptance of a place parents will be asked to pay a refundable Acceptance Deposit of £1000 (non UK/EU entrants must pay an Additional Deposit equal to a term’s fees) and sign an Acceptance Form.
- Late entrants should contact Admissions to find out if spaces are available in Year 9.
Gresham's School Year 9 (13+) Exam Styles
- Pupils applying for Year 9 are invited to come in during the Lent (Spring) Term for an assessment day when they are in Year 8. Written reports from the pupil’s current school and a reference are also used in the assessment process.
- Entrance assessments are in Maths and English.
