Hendon School Application Information
- Hendon School does not have its own application forms for Year 7 entry, But your child must take the standardised test.
- All applicants must apply through their Home local authority by submitting an online or paper application by the closing date (31 October). The secure online system will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and the application forms should only take between five and ten minutes to complete.
- Once the application has been submitted online, parents will be able to log back into the system and change their application, right up to the closing date which is 31 October of each year. You are advised to ensure that your application is made on time. All applications received by your Local Authority after the closing date will not be considered by the Governors until After the first allocation of place on 1 March the following year.
- Testing Day for all applicants will be held in December of each year. The dates will be on the school website from 1 October of each year. If your child does not sit the test, your application may not be considered in the first round of applications.
- Results of applications are posted by the home Local Authority on national offer day – 1st March or the next working day.

- CAT Tests for 2024 entry will be on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th December 2020
- You will be able to review the results of your application online on the evening of the 1st March 2021.
Hendon School 11+ Exam Styles
- As part of the admission arrangements, all children applying for places at Hendon School take written tests in non-verbal reasoning. Attendance to the test is a requirement for admission to the school. There is no pass mark for these tests.
