Kings Bruton School Year 7 Entry
- There will be no set admission dates in Year 7 and the admissions process is as follows:
- Prospective pupils and their parents visit King’s on Open Mornings and/or individual visits arranged through our Admissions Registrar.
- By completing a registration form and paying the £100 registration fee, parents are showing a firm interest and this is the first step towards securing a place at King’s. Registration in itself does not secure a place.
- During the Christmas term of Year 7, the school will contact the prep school to request standardised scores and the Head’s report for those pupils already registered. Reports and standardised scores will also be requested for any pupil who registers after this time.
- All pupils will be expected to meet with the Headmaster in the company of their parents during Year 7.

Kings Bruton School Year 9 Entry
- The confirmed offer of a place for entry into Year 9 will usually be sent out a week after completion of this admissions process. Final admission to King’s is subject to satisfactory academic performance including, if appropriate, successful completion of Common Entrance.
- The Parent/School contract will be sent with the offer letter along with an acceptance form which needs to be signed by both parents and returned to the Registrar.
- Acceptance Deposits are required to guarantee a place by May prior to entry, or at registration if received after that date.
- Setting and streaming into Year 9 will be based on school reports, standardised test results, and Common Entrance results.
- Candidates who are particularly talented in Academics, Music, Art, Drama, Design Technology, or Sport are encouraged to sit for Scholarships or the All Rounder Award.
