Queen Anne's School 11+ Exam Styles
- ASSESSMENT DAY:
- School 11+ assessment day takes place in October, prior to Common Entrance in January. Girls will sit a written English paper as well as complete online mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests (www.cem.org) and also take part in a group interview. Non-assessed workshops also take place during the day to enable girls to get to know one another and experience the breadth of life at Queen Anne’s.
- COMMON ENTRANCE:
- All girls must sit the 11+ Common Entrance examinations, which take place in the January of the year of entry. The Common Entrance examinations assess girls who transfer to senior schools at the ages of 11+. The syllabuses are devised and regularly monitored by the Independent Schools’ Examination Board (ISEB) composed of representatives of the Headmasters’ Conference (HMC), the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA) and the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS).
- The papers are set by examiners appointed by the board, but the answers are marked by the senior school for which a candidate is entered.
