St Mary's School 11+ Exam Styles
- Girls will be invited to attend an Entrance Day which is a time for St Mary’s to assess and evaluate each girl. St Mary’s will request references prior to this day from the Head of each girl’s preparatory school.
- Girls exhibiting outstanding promise at Entrance Day will be invited to enter scholarship examinations.
- Candidates who are shortlisted at Entrance Day for the Academic Scholarship will sit papers in English and Mathematics in the January of the year of entry. Girls will sit these examinations at St Mary's Calne in January prior to the year of entry.
- The Art, Drama, Music and Sport Scholarship Auditions and Assessments for Year 6 girls will take place in December, prior to the year of entry. The offer of an award is conditional on a good performance at either Common Entrance or St Mary's own entrance examination in January.
- Art, Drama, Music and Sport Scholarship candidates may additionally choose to sit the Academic Scholarship papers of they wish to be considered for an academic award as well.
