Tonbridge School 13+ Exam Dates

UK candidates will be invited to complete the ISEB Common Pre-test by 1 May 2024 and to submit their son's latest school report. Those candidates with a sufficiently strong profile will be invited to sit our late applicants’ examination in November of Year 8 (some 10 months prior to proposed arrival at Tonbridge).
Candidates studying overseas will be invited to complete a UKiset Assessment which must accompany the application, along with their son's latest school report, by the deadline of 1 May 2024.

Tonbridge School 13+ Exam Styles

The First step to admissions is ISEB pre-test.
Boys who have successfully completed the ISEB pre-test and attended an assessment afternoon at Tonbridge during Year 6, and have received a Provisional Offer, will be given the opportunity to take a final entrance exam in March of Year 7, and in some cases, in November of Year 8.
This exam will be competitive, and it is expected that a portion of the candidates will receive an unconditional offer for a place at Tonbridge after the exam. It's important to note that boys who have received an Unconditional Offer after the Year 6 assessment will not be required to take this exam, as their place has already been secured.
For boys taking the Year 7 final entrance exam, they will spend a day at Tonbridge during the Lent Term.
During this time, they will complete a 60-minute mathematics paper, a 70-minute writing paper, and participate in a brief interview.
