- The 11+ ENTRANCE EXAMINATION is the basic requirement for entry to Wrekin College and all candidates must sit this examination. It assesses potential pupils’ ability to cope with the academic life of Wrekin; if a pupil shows this potential and places are available, a place will be offered.
- The 11+ Entrance Examination consists of papers in Mathematics, English and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Wrekin College 13+ Exam Styles
- COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:
- This examination takes place at the candidate’s preparatory school in May/June of the year of entry. Papers are sent for marking to the senior school specified by the candidate.
- There is no requirement for candidates taking Common Entrance examinations to take any other examinations to enter the College.
- However, they may choose to sit the Wrekin College 13+ Entrance Examination and/or one of the Scholarship examinations which take place in November of the year prior to entry. This should be discussed in advance with the Headmaster or Registrar.
