A net is a 2D shape that can be folded to make a 3D Shape. 3D Shapes can be using nets. The shapes that make up the net become the faces of the 3D Shape. There’s often more than one net that you can use to make a 3D Shape.

Solution:
Example: In the picture below is the net of a cube. What is the volume of the cube when the net is folded into a cube?
Solution:
Four sides of the cube = 24 cm,
Therefore, the side of the cube = 24 ÷ 4 = 6 cm
Volume of the cube = side³
= 6³
= 216 cm³
