Summary of the course:
Pi Academy offers a 1 year 11-Plus tutoring course in Maths. We provide tutoring for various exam styles including 11 Plus CEM (Centre of Evaluation and monitoring), GL assessment and for 11-Plus Common Entrance Examination which is set by Independent School Examination Board (ISEB).
The content and syllabus for this tutoring course is designed to help students develop the skills, speed, and confidence needed for tackling examination papers under time constraints, and is essential for gaining a place in any top grammar and independent school.
Description of 11- Plus Maths Prep Course:
Maths: In the 11 plus Maths preparation course we revise basic maths skills appropriate to Key Stage 2 and early Key Stage 3. We focus on more challenging topics which children find difficult such as fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, money, time, imperial and metric measurements, shapes, work consumption, cubes and nets, area and volume, magic squares, basic and advance algebra.
Numerical Reasoning: Numerical Reasoning is a part of the CEM 11+ entrance exam and other 11+ exams. In this part of the course, we cover worded problems and teach our pupils how to tackle logic based problems resulting in development of their thinking skills.
Prerequisite: In this course we assume here the student attending this course is well versed with fundamentals in Maths and familiar with basic topics appropriate to Year 4 and 5.
Schools: 11-Plus prep course prepares students for 11+ examinations for Berks Buckinghamshire, Kent, Essex, Surrey & all other grammar schools in the London and greater London regions.
Course Duration: 1.5 Hours/Week
