Applications for the Trafford Grammar Schools Consortium Entrance Exam for 2025 entry will be open on our school website from 12 noon Thursday 25th April 2024
Applications close on 12 noon Friday 21st June 2024
The Entrance Exam will take place on Monday 16^th September 2024
A statement of the applicant’s total standardised score will be sent to the applicant’s home address by second class post in or around mid-October 2024
The closing date for the submission of the CAF to Home Local Authorities is 31st October 2024.

AGSB 11 Plus Exam Styles

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a fully-selective Academy Grammar School catering to students aged 11 to 18, and it is responsible for its own admissions process.
The Trafford Grammar School Consortium, which includes Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Sale Grammar School, Stretford Grammar School, and Urmston Grammar School, is delighted to announce our collaboration with GL Assessment.
Starting from 2023 for the 2024 intake and subsequent years, GL Assessment will serve as the test provider for Year 7 entry assessments.
In accordance with our admission policies, the examination's content will remain consistent, consisting of mathematics, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. The questions will specifically focus on these skill areas and will be assessed using various formats.
