What is SAT test for KS1?

SATs are a set of Arithmetic and English exams given to children in their first two years of primary school. Key Stage 1 SATs are made up of formal math and reading tests that take around 3 hours to complete in total, as well as informal science tests that happen throughout the year. You can easily prepare for the KS1 SAT exam using kS1 SAT papers.

Are KS1 SATs mandatory?

KS1 SATs are compulsory for all Year 2 pupils (usually 7-year-olds). Using KS1 SAT practice papers, you may quickly prepare for the KS1 SAT exam.

What papers are in the KS1 SATs?

There are 3 papers in KS1 SATs 

  • Paper 1 – This is a grammar and punctuation written task. 
  • Paper 2 – This contains a grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary test
  • This is a 20-word spelling test taking approximately 15 minutes and worth 10 marks.
