Taunton School 11+ Exam Dates
- Please make your enquiry by email with your child’s name, date of birth, copy of their passport (international students) and the most recent school report.
- The school will send you a Prospectus Pack containing a Registration Form.
- Please complete and return the Registration Form.
- Arrange to visit Taunton Prep School to see what the school have to offer.
- Once we have received your registration form school will invite you in to meet the Headmaster and have a tour of the school. The school will then invite your child to a Taster Day to come and experience the Prep School.
- On a separate occasion, School will invite your child to come and sit some assessments.
- Subject to satisfactory assessments and a reference from your child’s current school, you will be offered a place.
- The school will send you all the information you need regarding joining Taunton School, including term dates, fees schedule, New Pupil’s handbook and uniform list.
- For international students, School will also require your arrival information (flight/train/taxi details) and a copy of your visa once it has been granted.

6 Step Process
- Initial Enquiry:
- Please do call or email to express your interest and provide your child’s name, date of birth and current school. In response to your initial enquiry, a prospectus will be sent to you. This will contain information on academic programmes offered, school activities, policies and procedures, fees, scholarships and general information
- Visit and Taster Day:
- To learn more about Taunton School, you are welcome to visit, to have a look around the school and to meet the Headmaster. You may also like to arrange for your child to spend a taster day with school.
- Registration:
- At any stage, if you wish to register your interest in your child joining the School, you will be invited to complete a registration form (the UK only) and return it to the school with the registration fee. If you are applying from overseas, you will be required to complete this alternative registration form with the registration fee as detailed.
- Acknowledgement of Registration:
- A letter acknowledging your registration will be sent, asking your permission to allow the school to contact your child’s Headteacher to request a copy of your child’s most recent school reports and a school reference. Alternatively, you may wish to acquire this information and forward it to the school. Pupils in education outside the UK may be asked to sit assessment tests.
- Offer of a Place:
- Once the above steps are complete, School will be in a position to offer a place. The Headmaster will send you an offer letter, with an acceptance form and a copy of our standard terms and conditions.
- Acceptance of a Place:
- Completion and return of the acceptance form, together with the acceptance deposit (which is returned to you when your child leaves the school), will secure the place and form the contract with the school. Confirmation will be sent, together with early joining information. Further joining information is sent out in mid-July for pupils starting in September.
