Parents who registered their children to attend the Musical Aptitude Test before the deadline of 3 pm, Friday 12th May 2023 will be informed of their child's test date and time by Friday 26th May 2023.
Slots will be allocated at the discretion of the school and requests for alternative dates and times will not be accommodated except for where there are demonstrable religious or medical grounds as outlined in the school's Admissions Procedures Document.
Additional dates may be added at short notice to meet the number of registrations received for musical aptitude tests

Mill Hill County Grammar School 11+ Dance Auditions Dates

Sunday 18th June 2023 and Saturday 1st July 2023.
Parents who registered their children to attend the Musical Aptitude/Dance Aptitude Test before the deadline of 3 pm, Friday 12th May 2023 will be informed of their child's test score(s) by Friday 13th October 2023.

Mill Hill High School 11+ Exam Styles

The test will take place on one test day to be held on Saturday 9th September 2023.
The school will conduct the test on both Verbal Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning.
The School receives in excess of 2500 applicants for Year 7.
The Tests are Multiple Choice papers set by GL ASSESSMENT to be completed on Multiple Choice Answer Sheets.
The papers each last for one hour with additional time for explanation and practice questions given by staff at the start of each timed section.
The ability of the pupil to listen to and follow all instructions and to complete the answer paper fully is itself tested.
The results of both tests will be added together to produce an offer score. No minimum score will be required, places being offered strictly in descending order of each applicant’s combined score.
In the event of pupils gaining equal final scores, priority will be given to Criterion 2 geographical proximity to the school.
Please be aware that when you receive your child’s score it is an age-standardised score, School does not give out raw scores.

This school has been the best thing that happened to me. Initially, I was quite sad that I didn't get into my first choice school but I think that it was really good that I didn't. From years 7 to 9, you are allowed to be a child. There is not much academic pressure - more about following annoying rules and being with friends. There is a range of free clubs that you go to such as trampolining, rugby, dance etc and they put musicals every year which anyone can be part of. In year 10 to 11 (GCSE period) the teachers honestly try their best to teach and help children pass their GCSEs and (most of them) not only try and help you meet your target grades, but they also try and help you suppress them. If you need any help/ have a doubt you can ask them at any time via email or going to see them at lunch/ break/before school/after school. The teachers here (most of them) generally know how to teach.
