Algebra Inverse Problems are problems that help to "recognise and use the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction and use this to check calculations and solve missing number problems." Inverse operations can be used to work out addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems
For example, if given the answer 432 to the question
458 - 23, we could add the 432 and the 23 together to see if it equals 458 .
Algebra inverse problems can be solved, simply by performing the inverse for each operation.
For Example:
I am thinking of a number. I add 7852 and then subtract 2607. I now have 32 451. What is my number?
Solution:
Example1:
