The term capacity is used when measuring how much fluid fits inside a container. 'Capacity' is the volume that something can hold when it's full, e.g. the capacity of a large carton of juice might be 1 litre. It is measured in millilitres and litres, or, in imperial, pints and gallons.
To solve the problems based on capacity, first make sure the units are the same. If not, convert the units (from litres to millilitres or vice versa) and solve the problem. For converting litres to millilitres, multiply the given value by 1000 and from millilitre to litre, divide the value by 1000.
